Day 13 June 2, 2008

We are at Atlantic Highlands Municiple Marina until Sunday. We made our Ocean passage this morning with 2- 3 foot waves and a NW wind 15 to 20 mph. Basically a very easy ride. There is 6 ft. of tide change here and we are on a fixed dock. The high speed ferry comes to this pier as well so one day we will go into the city to see the Statue of Liberty and Ground Zero.

The photo is taken at Sandy Hook looking towards NYC. It was a little hazy.

Glad to hear your ocean passage went well. Those are awesome pictures of Atlantic City at night! Ground zero and the statue of Liberty are very good tours. I think you will enjoy both. I really like Ellis Island as well. They have a lot of interesting exhibits there.

Hi Bob & Lois,Atlantic city & NYC are spectacular on the water. I almost made the trip over to Cape May NJ when you crossed over to hang out for an hour or so, needless to say I did'nt know everytime I got on my boat that week I got sick, ended up visiting the Leb Cardio when I got home. Hopefully I'm getting better, I'll give it a try in 2 weeks. Don't know if you pasted it yet but Point Pleasant NJ has a nice resturant you can tie up and and as long as you eat there you can tie up for free. Well have a safe passage Take Care. Barry S

Lois and Bob

I am so jealous. Sounds like you are having the best time so far and Bob is still onboard! It is 96degrees here today and I wish we were tied up in the bay together and taking advantage of the breeze on the water.

I try to read about your trip on the weekends and imagine I am there - so keep writing and keep having fun.
